The project aimed to restore citizens’ trust in the electoral process and improve their ability to select the best candidates for local government representatives, based on their pre-election activities and promises. The project was implemented in 10 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Area of ​​implementation

Municipalities: Sarajevo (Novi Grad and Centar), Foča, Travnik, Livno, Bijeljina, Mostar, Trebinje, Gradiška and Prijedor

Purpose of the project

To restore citizens’ trust in the electoral process and improve their ability to select the best candidates for local government representatives based on their pre-election activities and promises.

Project goals

  • Contribute to the regularity of the election process in 10 selected target municipalities
  • Improve the responsibility of candidates for mayors and municipal councilors in 10 target municipalities
  • Enhance the ability of citizens to select the best candidates for mayors and municipal councilors
  • Establish an informal network of CSOs to monitor the pre-election, election process in local government units

Beneficiaries

Youth, women, candidates of political parties, non-governmental organizations, 10 municipalities in BiH.
